Fringe and flare denim, 2 of my favorite trends happening now – the 70’s revival – I love it!! My all time favorite fashion era is the 70’s hands down! I’m not sure if it has anything to do with the fact that I was born in 1973 or just because of the laid back and effortless vibes 70’s fashion exudes, whatever the reason, all I know is I LOVE 70’s fashion! This fringe cardigan is a favorite piece of mine that I picked up at one of my dearest friend’s amazing boutique – Livi Lane. You can like Livi Lane’s Facebook page here:
This incredibly chic boutique is actually in the back of Laura’s gorgeous house in Castle Hills which is in Lewisville. Her boutique is filled with fabulous tops, chic maxi dresses, fun jewelry and scarves, and much more – and the best part is everything is VERY reasonably priced! This fringe cardigan I’m wearing was under $50!! If you don’t have time to drive out to her boutique you can follow Livi Lane on Facebook and send her a message if anything on her page interests you and she will be happy to ship it to you!

One of my favorite looks to create is a monochrome look – wearing variations of the same color or 2 similar colors. In this case pale gray and white. The reason monochrome looks work is because they have a slimming effect – wearing similar colors elongates your legs and torso and makes you appear taller. Another trick to make your legs look longer is to cuff your jeans so they sit right above your ankle bone. The one spot on every women’s body that is slim are her ankles – so roll your jeans up and throw on your favorite pair of heels and voila – a chic look that will you make you appear taller and thinner!
Thanks so much for reading my blog! Have a blessed day! XOXO!!

Come and enjoy a cocktail and some private shopping time, also enjoy 20% off your purchase!! I hope to see you there! XOXO!!
I love pairing white and navy together, especially in spring and summer! When I purchased these white pumps from Intermix a while back, I really wasn’t sure how often I would wear them. I’m happy to say I have worn them a ton, and with so many different outfits! I have paired them with boyfriend jeans, gray skinny jeans, and even my flare jeans that are so hot this spring, they also look very chic when paired with a pencil skirt. I highly recommend adding a pair of white heels and a white handbag to your spring wardrobe. I found another pair of white heels from Nordstrom that look exactly like the ones from Intermix, but they are a fraction of the price – GREAT FIND!
Thanks so much for reading my blog! I’m grateful for all of you! XOXO!!
The LEATHER JACKET is a wardrobe essential! They are so versatile because you can literally throw them on over anything from your favorite pair of jeans, to a chic maxi dress, a sleek pencil skirt, and even a pair of cool cut-offs! For spring, I decided to wear a baby blue jacket, a bit different than your average black leather jacket, I love black, however, I like wearing lighter colors in spring in summer. This one I found at Exress is the perfect shade of baby blue and the price is AMAZING! A spring wardrobe must have! Happy Shopping!

I read in Rachel Zoe’s “Living in Style” book that you should try and have your own signature style, one that is recognizable to others, and unique to you. I have always, always loved wearing jeans, even as a little girl. My sweet Mom tells this story of when I was a little girl, maybe 4 years old or so, I had these favorite pair of jeans that I wanted to wear every single day and even wanted to sleep in them! My point is my love for jeans is real, and started at a very young age! I love wearing jeans, a structured jacket of some sort, and a heel or wedge. I would say this is my signature style. What is yours? I think it’s important to pick a style you feel confident and comfortable in, and most importantly a style that you feel most YOU in.
I found these marbled jeans at Intermix and loved them so much because they are different than your standard denim and I adore the small flare at the bottom, perfect for my Vince Mules that I love! They are the perfect spring heel, super comfortable and very versatile!
Have a great week!! Thank you for stopping by today! XOXO!!
FLARE JEANS – They are coming back and coming back BIG!!!! I am super excited because I adore flare jeans and here’s why – they are the most universally flattering jeans on the market, hands down. No matter what your size or shape, you will look taller and leaner when you wear flare jeans. Here is the key – pair them with some sort of heel or wedge to really elongate your legs and add that slimming effect that all of us really want! I actually had these flare jeans in my closet from like 4 years ago – and I’m so glad I saved them! The J Brand Love Story flare jeans I linked to in this post are the exact jeans I’m wearing and I love them! They are low waisted and fitted through the hips and thighs, I’m wearing a size 26 to give you a frame of reference. I highly recommend adding a pair of flare jeans to your spring wardrobe. You will be glad you did!!
Thank you for reading and shopping on my blog! Have a fabulous weekend! XOXO!!
I LOVE military jackets (especially because this one from Old Navy is under $45! They are so casual and effortless and can be easily dressed up or down and worn to a ton of places! They have been in style for a while now, but they are especially big this spring! I would consider the military jacket one of spring’s “MUST HAVES”! I have worn mine with just about everything from jeans and a simple tee, over a long black maxi dress, and with denim cut-offs and t-kees in the summer. If you don’t already own a military jacket I highly recommend adding one to your wardrobe. I have provided several of my favorites at various prices points to accommodate all budgets.
Happy Shopping and Happy Spring!! Thank you so much for stopping by today!!
I love denim, whether it’s a pair of jeans or a shirt or a jacket – I’m hooked on denim! It’s so easy to wear and can be dressed up or down and paired with so many things and worn so many places. These days denim is more acceptable than ever, even in the work place, if paired with a fitted blazer and some pumps it can pass as the perfect casual Friday ensemble. Denim on denim is a big trend right now and has been for a while. The key is to keep your denim shades slightly different and add some chic accessories, like a killer handbag and a chic pair of pumps for a dressier look or for a more casual look opt for these amazing pointy toe sneakers (they are under $60 and come in black, white and light blue) – so chic and yet so comfortable!

Spring is approaching and I’m so excited about all of the new colors and trends that are happening this season! I was so thrilled to be invited to the Neiman Marcus Spring Fashion Show hosted by Tanya Foster of Film, Fashion,Fun - she is a dear friend of mine and a fellow fashion and lifestyle blogger. The fashion show was held in the Glass Room inside of Neimans downtown and it is absolutely stunning, a must see for sure!
TOP SPRING TRENDS:
1.) FRINGE: A huge trend and definitely one of my favorites! It’s on everything from shoes, to handbags, to tops and jackets – so bohemian chic and so perfect! The Stuart Weitzman nude fringe heels on the model above wearing the skinny jeans are a must have for sure! I just might have to purchase those myself.
2.) THE FLARE JEAN: Yes, it’s coming back hard and I’ll have to say I’m a big fan of the flare jean and here’s why: they are the most universally flattering jean on the market. No matter what your size or shape, the flare jean is sure to elongate your legs and make you look slimmer. The key is to pair it with a heel or wedge. I will say they were showing the flare jean with low wedges and flats as well which is fine, however, if you really want to look taller and thinner opt for a wedge or heel. I can’t wait to wear my flare jeans this spring!!
3.) SPICE MARKET COLORS: The gorgeous flowers photographed above were the center pieces for the tables at the fashion show – these stunning arrangements represent the perfect shades of the spice market colors that are HUGE this spring. Beautiful oranges in all shades, from bright hues to rust, this color is sure to make you stand out this spring. I love this Joie top – it’s the perfect shade of orange and will look fabulous paired with flare jeans and turquoise jewelry!
4.) BOLD TURQUOISE JEWELRY: Yes, it’s back and it’s back big, bold and chunky! Turquoise looks so fabulous paired with the spice market colors because it really stands out and makes a statement! Hopefully, you saved some of your old turquoise jewelry from when it was in style, so pull it out and pile it on this spring! If you didn’t, no worries, Cusp has several stunning pieces at very affordable prices, like this bracelet and necklace.
5.) All WHITE: I adore wearing all white, it really stands out in a sea of all black which is what most people seem to wear. Don’t get me wrong, I love an all black look as well, but in the spring and summer nothing says chic, clean, and fresh like an all white ensemble. I love the all white look they did above in the fashion show. A white moto jacket is for sure a wardrobe staple! I love this off white moto jacket and this one for less. Throw it over a white maxi dress, wear with white flare jeans and a neutral fringe heel for less here, or even with a pencil skirt and silk tank. The possibilities are endless, which is why the white moto jacket is a wardrobe staple!!
6.) BOLD LIP: With each new season it’s important we think not just about our wardrobe, but about our make-up as well. It’s just as important as what we are wearing on our bodies, trust me! They were showing minimal make up on the eyes paired with a bold lip. My all time favorite lip color for spring and summer is Tom Ford’s lip stick in TrueCoral! It’s the best hands down, his lipsticks stay put and the pigment is amazing! They last a long time as well! I also love Coachella Coral by Charlotte Tilbury which is what I have on in this post. It’s not quite as orange as Tom Ford’s True Coral, it’s more of a pinky coral – so pretty for spring!
7.) LONG PATIO DRESSES: Easy to wear and so chic and effortless, the patio dress can be worn to so many places. A summer wedding, a dinner party, a girl’s night out, or a date night. The possibilities are endless which why I love long, flowy, dresses so much! This gorgeous bold orange one is my top pick – this would look stunning with some chunky turquoise jewelry like this amazing necklace by Nest and the fringe heels that I’m so in love with. This look would represent so many of this season’s trends – a look that will take you many places in style!
